I'm at the lake, it's a pretty cool, fall day but it's just sunny enough to go and swim, as long as you make sure to leave when the sun starts to set. Actually, no, just a bit before the sun starts to set. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of going to the lake but I go anyways. I dive under the water. I need to open my eyes to see, but when I open them the water burns. I feel like I'm under there forever as it seemingly becomes darker and my eyes burn more than ever. Somehow both gradually and suddenly, the people around me can no longer be seen. The lake has gotten deeper and darker and there is no direction, up and down is all the same. At first I let what currents there are push me around, but soon the burning is too much. I try to close my eyes and find I can't. Suddenly some urgency appears and I start swimming in whatever direction I can. Unsure of how long I was under I suddenly reappear and slowly wade back to the edge. I sit down.
